Years ago, I was listening to a Wayne Dyer program on cassette tape (that tells you how long ago this was).

At one point he mentioned the 3 qualities of a self-actualized individual. I don’t remember what 2 of the 3 qualities are but I will always remember the impact the 3rd quality had on me. It is ~ to be free from the good opinion of others. That struck me like a ton of bricks. I said to myself, “Oh my gosh, I want that!”

Imagine that for a minute. What would your life be like if you loved, accepted, and approved of yourself so much that it did not matter to you what other people thought of you.

If you are like me, you still have some work to do in this area. And boy is this work worth doing.
