Activity and busyness are not the same as effectiveness and results. People often confuse these two. It is not about the number of activities we have e.g. 1×1 meetings or phone calls. It is about the results they produce.
The more effective and efficient we become, the less busy we need to be. Effectiveness and efficiency certainly are impacted by strategy, skill, and technique – and even more so by mindset, beliefs, and attitudes.
If your busyness is not producing the results you desire or think are possible, you need to check out your beliefs, the stories you are telling yourself, your expectations, your worthiness and deservingness, your attitudes, and how you are using your energy, focus, and attention.
And, of course, the ideal is to be both active and highly effective!
