Personal Growth Sing Along
Take a trip back to childhood with me. “If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands . . . “
There’s actually some pretty cool cognitive stuff happening here. The songs says that if I’m happy and I know it I should clap my hands. Then what happens next in the song? I clap my hands. The clapping becomes confirmation or proof that I must indeed be happy because that’s the way the song sets it up. I’ve just given myself feedback that I am happy and my body has to respond to that.
So if you can get over your story that I’m way too old or way too cool to sing this song, this song from childhood can be a great mental reconditioner and a mood changer.
Come on and sing along ~ “If you’re happy and you know it shout hooray . . . “
Much Love,
