One of my most quoted quotes comes from Albert Einstein. He said, “The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.” This choice sets our lives onto two very different trajectories.
Now just because you believe you live in a friendly universe, this does not mean that everyone will be friendly to you and that nothing bad will ever happen.
We need to explore what “friendly universe” means. It means that God and the universe are conspiring to support each of us to be the best version of ourselves that we can possibly be.
Now I know for sure that the best version of me has far less buttons that can be pushed than the current version of me has. So, a friendly universe is going to point out to me what these buttons are so that I can grow and let go. Even though the experiences might be unpleasant, they are my ally helping me to be the best I can be.
I suspect the same is true for you.
In a friendly universe, we have allies. In a hostile universe, we have enemies.
