Remembering that we do have a choice
Sabine, her friend, and I drove for 3.5 hours this morning to ski at Sunlight (near Glenwood Springs, CO).
2 hours into our ski day, Sabine’s friend crashed and hurt her knee. Our ski day was over.
My initial response was irritation and disappointment. I wanted to ski! The weather was gorgeous. Sunlight is a beautiful place. And, I love skiing. Spending the afternoon in a hotel room was not what I had planned.
But what happened happened -whether I liked it or not. So I had a choice. I could either argue with reality or make peace with what happened. Circumstances outside of our control are going to impact our lives but we still get to choose how we respond.
Much Love,
