It Must Be Me
Let’s imagine a purely hypothetical situation where you go play volleyball with three friends ~ hypothetically named Roman, Karen, and Mike.
And in said volleyball playing – you manage to lose every game regardless of who your partner was. Furthermore, they all seemed to play their worst game of the night when they were your partner.
What do you do with that?
Do you get mad at them? Do you develop a conspiracy theory? Do you get mad at God? Do you think, “It just is not my night”? Do you say, “Volleyball is a stupid game anyway”?
Or, do you take a deep breath of objectivity and realize that it isn’t them. I am the common denominator here. It must be me. And then, get curious about what must be going on in your head to produce these results. And then get curious about what you can do to upgrade your mental environment.
One of these two paths is useful. The other is not.
Much love,
Jonathan
