Legal rights and self-condemnation
Imagine that we have to go get a permit anytime we want to change ourselves and that the permitting process happens court room style.
So there we are in court submitting our proposal to do better in business and then the prosecutor pulls out this long list of times and dates where we have said things like, “I’m a loser.” and other phrases of harsh self-judgment and self-condemnation.
Or, there we are in court submitting our proposal to slim down and get into shape and then the prosecutor pulls out this long list of times and dates where we have said things like, “I’m fat.” and other phrases of harsh self-judgment and self-condemnation.
In the face of all this evidence and all this self-condemnation, the judge is going to find it difficult to rule in our favor. Our own testimony is our undoing.
Well . . . this isn’t so imaginary. Our own repeated self-condemnation is our undoing. By our own mouths, we are giving away our legal rights to change, improve, and do better. By our own mouths we are condemning ourselves to stay right where we are.
So first and foremost ~ stop the self-condemnation!!!! Secondly, stop the self-condemnation!!! The court procedure is going to go much better if you can respond to the prosecutor by saying, “But, notice the dates on all of those incidents. Those were in the past. I already am a changed person. I am already headed in the right direction. Those statements are no longer valid for who I am today!”
Next on our to-do-list ~ purging the record. We want to let go of all guilt, harsh judgment, self-disapproval, self-hate, disappointment, self-condemnation and any other self-inflicted brutality.
How do we do this? However you can! ~ self-forgiveness, prayer, tapping, Sedona method, and other letting go techniques. And again, quit creating new evidence!!!
Side note ***This is part of the covert work I do for my clients. I go to the courtroom on their behalf and purge the record. What is interesting is to see how much new evidence there is by our next session. Some people have very little new evidence. Others have replaced almost all of it.***
