How good are you at allowing others to contribute to you? How good are you at accepting help and assistance? How well do you receive? Do you let other people take care of you?
Most of us aren’t all that great at these things and there are consequences to that. We end up limiting how much good can come into our lives. We limit our success and wealth. We limit our connection and sense of belonging. We limit our well-being and reinforce our “I’m not enough, I’m not worthy” stories. Yikes!
We also deprive others of the opportunity to serve, contribute, and make a difference. We deprive them of the opportunity to feel good about themselves for helping another person. Also Yikes!
My friend, Sarah, gave me the homework assignment to say “YES” whenever anyone asks me if they can help.
So for example, the next time the guy at the grocery store asks me if I need help loading my groceries into the car, I will be saying, “Yes, thanks, that would be great.” (Something I have never done before ~ or even considered.)
Should be interesting!
If this speaks to you, I invite you to join me in saying “YES!” whenever assistance is offered to you. And, let’s see what ripples this creates in our lives.
Much Love,
