We just have to ask
I was talking with my friend today. He’s a travel writer. When he travels he asks the hotels for complimentary lodging (because he’s a travel writer). Sometimes they say yes, sometimes they say no.
But if he didn’t ask then it would always be a no.
Saturday while I was skiing in Colorado, I got a message from the fraud alert people. They wanted to know if I was making purchases in England. However since I don’t know my EIN number by memory, the guy I talked to said he couldn’t help me or even cancel the card.
I asked if there was any work around. He said, “No.” I said, “Thanks” and hung up. I immediately dialed again. The second person I talked with was able to find a work around and we deactivated my card.
So often, we just have to ask. And, don’t settle for the first answer.
Much Love,
