Waking Up
Many people start their day in scarcity because their first thought is a “not enough” thought. “I did not get enough sleep.”
This sets the tone for the whole day. Yes, one can get over this but, it is starting the day in a hole which means effort and energy are required to get out of that hole.
One way to play with this is to change the start of your day. Most people view going to bed as the end of the day. What if going to bed is the start of the next day. It is the prep period for the coming day.
Then we can take a minute and intentionalize our sleep. “I intend that I am getting prepared for a great day. I intend that I sleep well and that my body and mind rest, recuperate, and rejuvenate. I look forward to the morning and all of the great things in store for me!”
Then when it is time to get up, get up! Jump out of bed, clap your hands together, and say, “I am ready! Bring on the day!”
