It doesn’t matter whether pilots are brand new or on their 5000th flight – they still go through their pre-flight checklist every time they fly. We can borrow this strategy.
A lot of people have some fear about making phone calls. Here’s something you can do about that.
What if you create a pre-call checklist to get yourself into a high energy and high confidence state every time before you pick up the phone.
Your checklist might look something like this:
1 – Identify person I want to or need to call
2 – Do a couple of what ifs e.g. What if it can be easy and fun, what if I can contribute to this person, what if I have exactly what they need, what if it all goes well, etc.
3 – Remind myself that making the call is a form of loving myself (regardless of the outcome) because I am daring greatly on my own behalf.
4 – Imagine you are in a relaxing environment – beach, hot tub, etc.
5 – Set your intention – serve, contribute, and grow my business
6 – Dial and have fun.
Then use this checklist every time!
Much love,
Jonathan
