Our identity is a conversation
We create all kinds of limiting identities without even knowing it. We have stuff like: I’m the kind of person who struggles with money. I’m the kind of person who has limited success. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t get what he wants. I’m the kind of person who procrastinates. People like me don’t sell. People like me don’t get wealthy. And so on.
We’ve created these limiting identities because we’ve thought these same thoughts over and over and over again. We keep having the same conversations in our heads about ourselves and about life.
If we want things to be different then we absolutely must have different conversations. We must repeatedly impress these new ways of thinking upon our non-conscious minds until they take hold and become our new way of believing, our new identity.
We must frequently have conversations like: I’m the kind of person who is good with money. I’m the kind of person who has great success. I’m the kind of person who gets what he wants. I’m the kind of person who gets things done. People like me are great at selling and really enjoy it. People like me do get wealthy – every day. And so on.
