Just Get Started
Just do something – no matter how small. Just get started.
We often experience resistance to doing something which means that we have some sort of lousy, uninspiring, or limiting story about it. We can decrease that resistance by lowering the energy of activation (the amount of energy we need to spend in order to get started).
One of the best ways to do that is to go small. Commit to washing one plate. Once you are started, you will probably keep going and do all the dishes. But, committing to only one plate makes it so much easier to get started.
Commit to making just one phone call, spending 5 minutes on admin tasks, answer one email . . . Just get started.
We often wait for inspiration before we get into action. However, action frequently leads to inspiration. Even a tiny bit of progress can create inspiration. So, go create that tiny bit of progress and see what happens.
Much Love,
