I heard a fascinating presentation from Tom Tillapaugh, the founder of The Denver Street School.
He said that the key to helping at-risk youth is to have people who are willing to provide sacrificial intervention to the point of extreme inconvenience. i.e. they need support and mentoring from already successful people who already have full lives but are willing to help anyway.
So ~ a couple of questions:
1. Are you willing to inconvenience yourself to support someone else, to make a difference, to change a life?
2. Are you willing to inconvenience yourself to do the same for yourself? Personal growth is not convenient. Letting go of limitation is not convenient? Breaking free of your comfort zone is not convenient.
Are you worth being inconvenient for?
