Work the Plan
Work the plan or work the system is common advice.
Work this exercise and diet plan and you will slim down. Work this system and you will grow your business. And sure enough, there are many people who have worked it and got the desired results.
However, there are usually far more people who seem to be unable to work it. Telling them (or ourselves) for the 10th, 20th, or 50th time to work the plan won’t help to successfully work the plan this time.
Instead, we need to shift our focus here. What is it that is creating the inability to work the plan? What does that person believe about him or herself or about the world that creates the resistance to working the plan?
Not being able to work the plan is simply feedback. Feedback that tells us that some sort of limiting belief is in the way.
Once we do the personal growth work to upgrade the limiting beliefs, then it becomes possible to actually work the plan.
