December 4th, is a pretty big deal for me. The Daily Dose of Jonathan is one year old.
I’m clear that writing is one of the things I am supposed to be doing here on planet earth. But before I started my daily email, I was not writing on a regular basis. Now I am. It has been a joy and it has been easy. I regularly get feedback that my thoughts are contributing to people and making a difference – which means that I am indeed living my purpose.
I fell in love with this George Bernard Shaw quote the very first time I heard it: “I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no “brief candle” for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
Writing the Daily Dose of Jonathan for a year has been a way for me to hold up my “splendid torch”.
So dear reader – thanks for being on this journey with me and allowing me this opportunity to contribute to you! I am truly grateful!
Much love,
Jonathan
