Warrior or rebellious teenager
All too often the rebellious teenager shows up instead of the freedom warrior.
The rebellious teenager says, “I don’t feel like it” and “You cannot make me.” The rebellious teenager resists structure, routine, discipline, and commitment – just on general principles.
The warrior says, “I’m doing it anyway because it is the appropriate thing to do to get me to where I want to go and to become the person I want to be.” The warrior says, “I choose to do this and bring it on.” The warrior embraces structure, routine, discipline, and structure because these are the paths to excellence, peak performance, and mastery.
Which one of these two would you like to be in charge of your life? Which one is in charge?
Much Love,
Jonathan
