Seekers and finders
When something is lost, there are people who set out to look for it and then there are people that set out to find it. The finders tend to find the lost item more often and far faster than the lookers do.
Many people identify themselves as seekers. This can be a double-edged sword. On one hand is that drive to seek, to learn, to grow, to explore – which can add a lot to our lives. However, on the other hand, we can also seek to the day we die and never appreciate what we already have found. It can become a perpetual “I’m not ready yet” thing because we just need that one more piece of information or understanding or insight in order to be ready to really go for it, to start fully living our lives, to let our lights shine.
I’m good at finding things because I’m a finder not a looker. I think it is time to also become a finder rather than a seeker.
Much Love,
Jonathan
