Right to be hurt aka beast of burden
What if we forever relinquished our right to be hurt and offended!
How many grudges and hurts are we carrying around today that are related to something that happened 1 year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago . . . That’s insane that we do this. Has it ever added an ounce of quality or happiness to our lives? NO! Not a chance!
Imagine that 3 or 4 sledges stacked high with heavy baggage are harnessed to your back. In order to move, you have to pull those sledges. How motivated are you going to be to move? How fast are you going to move? How frequently are you going to move? Most of the time it simply won’t be worth the effort to move.
This piling on of baggage and even needing to add additional sledges leads to lousy, small, and unsatisfying lives. As Thoreau said, “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” They are too weighed down to do anything else.
Isn’t it time to set yourself free?
