Just like me
When we feel the urge to find fault with someone, it is very useful to remember that:
- Just like me, that person is trying to make sense of his or her life.
- Just like me, that person is trying to get what he or she wants and avoid getting hurt.
- Just like me, that person has some life strategies that don’t work very well but is using them anyway.
- Just like me, that other person is a work in progress.
Based on all this, compassion and empathy seem like a much better choice than finding fault.
Much Love,
Jonathan
