Identity hit aka never the same again
Have you ever had a life experience and you were never the same afterwards? This could be for better or for worse. (In this dose, we will be talking about for worse).
If it is for worse, that means that your identity took a hit. In that moment, you made up something about yourself, about who you are, and it was a perfect learning experience – you never forgot it. You started to think less highly of yourself.
Chances are good that this thing you accidentally made up about yourself has resulted in less confidence, less optimism, less happiness, and less enthusiasm about life. Thus, you’ve never been the same since. Unfortunately, this is a rather common occurrence.
The good news is that there’s a cure. We need to go back to that moment and do some serious letting go work and forgiveness work for both ourselves and the others involved. Then we probably need to do some restoration work and reclaim that hibernating identity.
You can get yourself back and even more!
Much Love,
Jonathan
