Give Energy
About half way through our ski day, I asked my daughter, “on a scale of 1 -10, 10 being the funnest ski day ever, how much fun are you having?” She said, “4.”
That opened the door to have a conversation about giving energy. I told her that it was like I was skiing by myself but riding the chairlift with the same stranger over and over. She wasn’t giving any energy. She was shrunk into herself.
She said it was because her legs hurt (growing pains). I told her that no matter what is going on in our lives, we are going to feel better and enjoy life more when we are giving energy.
She got it. The second half of our ski day was very different and far more enjoyable for both of us.
As a rule of thumb, people who are good at giving energy are happier. Anyone can get good at giving energy.
Much Love,
Jonathan
