Demoralized
In my line of work, I hear a lot of demoralizing stories that people tell themselves.
Here are some of the top offenders:
- I’m not worthy
- I’m not enough
- I don’t belong
- It isn’t going to work out anyway
- I cannot get what I want
- I’m bad and wrong
- Being rejected
It is hard (if not impossible) to be confident, happy, enthusiastic, proactive, consistent, in action, or optimistic when we are demoralized.
And, being demoralized is just another story. This means we can change that story any time we choose to.
There’s always a story, a perspective, or an interpretation that will bring our energy up.
Much Love,
Jonathan
