Business lessons from a surfer
Imagine a surfer who got profoundly disappointed when the wave ended. He or she wouldn’t last very long as a surfer because that’s what waves do – they exist for a little while and then they end. What the surfer does is ride that wave for as long as he or she can and then paddle back out to catch another wave. And hopefully, the surfer is enjoying the ride!
Entrepreneurs often get profoundly disappointed when a client relationship ends. But, that’s what clients do – they come and then they go for a variety of reasons. When that happens, rather than getting bummed out, we just need to go get another client. And hopefully, we are enjoying the ride.
Much Love,
Jonathan
