Imagine that I know some top-secret information and then I started telling people about it. There would be some serious consequences for sharing that information with people who did not have the proper security clearance. I would be considered a serious security risk.

We all have top-secret information – our hopes, dreams, visions, desires, and goals. And so often we share it with people who don’t have the proper security clearance. These are the people who don’t believe in us, get jealous, are not encouragers, offer disapproval, don’t get excited for us, lead with limitation, doubt or fear etc. When we do this, we are a serious security risk to ourselves.

When these people ask us a question like: “How’s business?”, the only answer they are cleared for is “good thanks” followed by a change of subject.

Those that do have the proper security clearance get a real answer because they are on our team.

And, a big reason that we give out our top-secret information to those without the proper security clearance is our need for approval. We’re trying to get their approval and the chances of that happening are slim to none.
