Acting in my own best interest
Say out loud, “It is okay to act in my own best interest.” Notice whether that feels true or not.
Many people have some head trash that makes it difficult to act in their own best interest. This could be lack of self-worth, deferring and trading our needs and desires for love and acceptance, not wanting to appear selfish, or . . .
It is okay to act in your own best interest. Note: if I do something nasty or greedily to get more for me, that actually is not in my own best interest because that strategy has never produced true joy, happiness, or fulfillment and it never will. Acting in my own best interest benefits the world.
An easy example of the benefit of acting in our own best interest happens every time we get on an airplane. We are told that if the oxygen masks come out, we should act in our own best interest first. Then we will be able to be of benefit to others.
When we take care of ourselves, we have more fuel in the tank to give to others. The impact of a happy person on the world is much greater than the impact of an unhappy person (what am I talking about??? read Power vs Force by David Hawkins).
It really is okay to act in your own best interest.
Much Love,
