Can it really be this easy?
Last Saturday we took our annual trip to the forest to cut down a Christmas tree.
In years past, it has taken quite a bit of doing to get us to all agree on the same tree. And then by the time this happens we have a long hike to carry the tree back to the car.
This year we all easily agreed on the second tree that we spotted and it was about 50 yards from the car.
As I was about to start cutting the tree down, Anne asked, “can it really be this easy?” I was wondering the same thing. I was hesitant to start sawing and even thought that we should probably look around a little more just in case.
Then I realized what I was doing – not allowing easy and making things harder than they needed to be.
How often do we do that – make things harder than they need to be and not allow easy?
Much Love,
Jonathan
