Conceptual vs Real
If your goals don’t bring a smile to your face, open your heart, or create a flow of positive emotion, then they are just items on your to do list. They are chores.
And, chores do not have any magnetism or inspiration or desire.
This happens all the time with people and their goals. They set goals that seem logical or are a good idea but don’t stir any passion or emotion.
We are much better served by doing a little more exploring until we find something that does create passion and positive emotion – something that is real rather than just a good concept.
A client of mine was talking about wanting to grow her business so that she could make more money and there was no excitement there. Then when she started talking about buying her dream house with that money, she came alive. Her energy went up. Her eyes sparkled. Her breathe got deeper in her body.
More money is a good concept. Her dream house is real. Focusing on having that dream house will serve her far better than focusing on the money.
If I think about having 50K people on my mailing list – it is really a “so what”. Of course it is a good idea and will be good for my business etc. If I think about having 50K testimonials – now that excites me and inspires me to get into action.
Get out of the conceptual and get real.
Much Love,
