When to not trust our thinking
When a kid gets crabby, irritable, or acts like a monster, we know that he or she is tired and needs a nap. However, we don’t manage to draw those same conclusions with ourselves.
When we get tired – whether that is physically, mentally, or emotionally – our thoughts take a big down turn. Doubt, fear, and frustration show up in full force and we believe the junk.
This is a very good time to not believe our thinking. Instead, we should ask ourselves if we are tired. And if we are, the first thing we ought to do is remind ourselves that our thoughts are crap right now and we don’t need to buy in to them. Then the second thing to do is to get rejuvenated asap. Whether that is a nap, a funny movie, prayer, meditation, a walk in the woods, etc. – whatever it takes get yourself rejuvenated – do it.
Much Love,
