Marooned
A while ago, a friend of mine was traveling out of the country. When he was packing, he managed to pack his old passport rather than his new passport. So, he had to get his new passport overnighted to Chicago and got to spend an extra 24 hours in Chicago.
We’ve all had these kinds of moments. The question is: what do we do next?
Option A is to beat up on himself, feel sorry for himself, and have a lousy time.
Option B is to get curious. How might this be the perfect thing? What’s God got planned for me? What good is going to come out of this? Who can I connect with and serve?
If we are doing A, then we’ve slammed closed the door to B, and we are definitely marooned. If we do B, we are not marooned, we are on purpose, on assignment.
Much Love,
Jonathan
