Listening
About two weeks ago, my mom called me to tell me that her friend had passed away. Right away, without thinking, I asked her if she wanted me to go to the funeral service with her.
I didn’t have a good reason for asking. Mom’s friend was not a part of my life. But, I just had this feeling that I should ask.
At the service this afternoon, I ended up having a conversation with another of my mom’s friends. She had some concerns about her son. I was able to offer her some encouraging words and peace of mind.
Afterwards I realized that our conversation was probably the reason I had the feeling that I was supposed to go to the service.
What would happen if we learn to listen to that God whisper more often?
Much Love,
Jonathan
