Warning Do Not Use Without Adult Supervision
Here’s the problem, we have been using the label gun without proper wise adult supervision. Consequently, we have stuck all kinds of ridiculous labels on ourselves and even worse – believed that they are true.
Here’s just a few of these ridiculous labels I’ve recently encountered:
- I am a worrier.
- I’m not organized enough to achieve that next level.
- I’m a screw up.
- I’m not ready for success.
- I am a mistake maker.
- I’m not good at _______________.
- Bad things happen to me.
- I’m not a leader.
- I don’t know enough.
- Etc, etc, etc
Are any of these labels even remotely useful? Are any of them desirable? Of course not! And, they aren’t even true or accurate. They are a bunch of made up head trash.
Take a look at yourself ~ what ridiculous limiting labels have you stuck on yourself?
Maybe we should be the wise adult supervisor in our own life and do a better job of monitoring how we use our label gun.
Are you ready to let go of those tired old labels? Is it time to re-label?
Much love,
Jonathan
