I heard a speaker say that in his experience most people fail due to a lack of dedication. I can see that and I also think that we can take a deeper look at this.
Why do people have a lack of dedication? I think it is because they are experiencing a lack of possibility.
If I’ve got stuff in my head like – I cannot get what I want. It is not possible to succeed. This is as good as it gets. It is not going to work. I’m not good enough. I don’t deserve more. I don’t know how. Etc . . . – then why in the world would I be dedicated?
What we have is an epidemic of people not believing in themselves and not believing that very much is possible for them. This creates what Thoreau said, “Most men live lives of quiet desperation.”
But, these are all stories not truths! And, we can upgrade these stories. What if I can get what I want. What if it is possible to succeed. What if better is already on the way. What if it does work. What if I am good enough. What if I do deserve the best life has to offer. What if I don’t need to know how and can do it anyway.
Living under “it isn’t possible” is no way to live.
Much Love,
