Fiercely independent or stupidly independent
There are so many people who have created a story that it is not okay to ask for help. Ironically, these people are helping others all the time but then are unwilling to ask for help or to receive help when they need it.
If we were supposed to do it all by ourselves, we would live on tiny little planets all by ourselves.
Nobody in the history of humankind who did anything great did it by themselves. It is okay to ask for help and to receive assistance.
