Judging vs judgmental

Judging vs Judgmental

We can judge without being judgmental.
Judging is forming an opinion or coming to a conclusion about someone or something. Judgmental tends to mean having an excessively critical point of view.
For example – I can judge that I wouldn’t do business with a person based on what I’ve observed. I become judgmental when I decide that person is a horrible person and needs to be punished.
I can judge from discernment and even love. Judgmental tends to come from insecurities and a lack of love.
It is okay to judge (in fact, it is a very useful life skill). And, our world could do with a whole lot less of judgmentalism.
Much Love,
Jonathan
