The promise of spring 
I was driving in the mountains the other day. It was cold, overcast, and snowy.
Then I had a thought ~ winter holds the promise of spring. Not too long from now, the snow will start to melt. The creeks and rivers will rise. The grasses will start to turn green. Leaves will start to appear. Wildflowers will start growing and will soon be blooming. Winter will fuel spring.
Isn’t that also the way it frequently happens in our lives. Our winter experiences lead to new growth and to warmer days.
So, take heart in those winter experiences. Know that spring is coming.
