If you were to talk yourself out of something . . .
If you were to talk yourself out of something, what would that sound like? I’m tired. I don’t feel like it. I’ll do it later. . . What is your default excuse?
I invite you to be on the lookout for your default excuse. See how often you use it. And when you do catch yourself, don’t use it. Tell yourself something else instead, something far more useful.
“I’m tired” might become “I need to catch my breath for just a minute and then I’ll get back to it.” Or, “I love my life and am full of energy.” Or, whatever works for you.
It’s about time we stop talking ourselves out of things and instead start talking ourselves into things.
Much Love,
Jonathan
